Culbertson Variety Show

It was a great experience being able to do the Culbertson Variety Show at Marple Newtown High School the other week. Luckily we were able to get a send out xlr and receive a clear broadcast into the Tascam D40. We used two canon XF100’s for the main production, and the new Canon 5d camera rig that we just built for pre-production (extra footage) for testing. Everything worked out pretty well. Everything was kind of a surprise never having seen the actual whole show yet, so we had to improvise fast on what stuff I had to capture in the moment, and what stuff Quyen had to capture on his end. One thing to keep in mind is to keep the gain as low as possible, it probably might have been best to keep it at medium settings which i think was at round 6db. Here’s a quick picture of camera 1 setup at the front of the stage. I know the tripods little big, but it’s for the rig and slider that we have for other production.
